From Southern Texas to Sydney Australia, Eric Morris continues on a journey inspired by a passion for food, motorbikes and all things mechanical.
At the tender age of nine Eric found himself Down Under, after his family decided to leave Texas in the United States and relocate to Australia. Whilst growing up in Australia, and especially during his high school years, Eric developed a passion for gastronomy.
After finishing school, Eric ventured to London on a quest for culinary knowledge and experience on the world stage, which he achieved working at the famed Italian restaurant Ottolenghi.
Returning to Australia with invaluable experience in London and as a newly certified Sommelier, Eric became a well known and iconic figure as Wine Program Manager for the uber hip “Baxter Inn” Whiskey and Wine bar in Sydney Australia.
Today Eric is the founder and proprietor of Clementine’s Café Sydney. Clementine’s is a tribute to his grandmother’s name, and is hipster New York style diner meets sophisticated espresso bar. Apart from delicious food, coffee and witty banter, diners at Clementine’s also experience an insight into Eric’s passion for design and mechanical objects.
From the retro mechanical cash register on the shop counter to his vintage Honda motorcycle parked out the front, even the beloved coffee machine is a topic for enthusiastic and insightful conversation.
It comes as no surprise then that Eric’s watch of choice is a PANZERA Breuer 42 mechanical timepiece.
