DESIGN OVERVIEW

MODERN VINTAGE STYLE

The PANZERA Breuer automatic Bauhaus style watch range is based on classic designed German Bauhaus Watches which first became famous in the 1950s and 60s. This minimalistic and timeless design is as contemporary and popular today as it was then.

Bauhaus was a revolutionary design school that emerged in Germany in 1919 and still remains very influential in many areas of design and architecture today. Their primary intention was to integrate art, technology and craftsmanship creating a new design philosophy of exceptional beauty and function. They believed that design of any sort ought to be considered a high art similar to painting or sculpture.

Bauhaus designs reflect the modernist and often minimalistic style that made them famous and timeless.

The PANZERA Breuer watch ranges capture all the key Bauhaus functional and design influences

BREUER 44 BAUHAUS WATCHES – STYLE FOCUS

dario1

Introducing “Style Guru & Haircutter to the Stars” – Dario Chicco

The Breuer 44 range is all about minimalist style Bauhaus watches. During the 1950’s and 1960’s the popularity of Bauhaus design and Bauhaus watches rose and could be seen in many aspects of culture during that era, including architecture, art, fashion, industrial design and also watches. The minimalist characteristics of this style of design are timeless and remain popular even to this day.

Dario started cutting hair in 1965, when cutting hair was an art, it was the sartorialist “tailored” individual period of hair cutting. At that time the great hair cutters like Jacques Dessange, Jean Louis David, Bruno Pittini and Vidal Sassoon re-invented the hair industry by wash and wear – “Pret-a-porter” cuts. From the 60′s to now Dario still continues to cut hair into shape and never uses a brush to force hair into shape, a unique trait for this industry.

Operating his business VOI from his funky design studio in Kings Cross, Dario is an iconinc figure of this colorful and bohemian region of inner city Sydney Australia. His list of clients (here) include an endless array of famous actors, designers and musicians from former James Bond actor – George Lazenby, musician – Carlos Santana,  through to celebrity Chef – Bill Granger, making him the number one haircutter in Sydney.

As a long time watch enthusiast and with a keen eye for fashion we are thrilled to have Dario select bauhaus watches from our Breuer 44 collection as his preferred timepiece.
